Easements
An Easement is the right to do or prevent something over the property of another. A easement can be in several forms (Verbal, written, etc.). Many people have verbal agreements to access their property over a path on another person property. Others may have a private water line or sewer line crossing their neighbor’s property. While this may work for right now, what will happen in the future? Not having an accurately prepared and executed easement could you prevent you from accessing or servicing part of your property and could cost you thousands of dollars in the future. Why not have an easement prepared and recorded for public record that will be included with your chain of title?
